Barrier-free access

Our museum is fully accessible. For people with physical disabilities, the lift and stairlift provide step-free access to all exhibitions and the cloakroom and toilet areas. A wheelchair is available at the museum ticket desk.

Local and long-distance transport

You can get here on local and long-distance trains via Halle central station. The town of Halle an der Saale has excellent links to the new ICE express train line between Berlin and Munich, and the Central German rapid-transit S-Bahn service. From the central station, tram 7 (Kröllwitz) takes you straight to the Moritzburgring tram stop. From there, it is just a couple of steps to the entrance of the art museum.

Ticket Permanent Exhibition


8 euros | reduced 5 euros

The ticket entitles you to visit the permanent exhibition. Please note that access to the special ex­hibi­tions „The other Picasso“ and „Ich bin Du! Doris Ziegler: Malerei“ is not included. Tickets are available in our online shop (only in German) and at the ticket desk on-site.

Season ticket Picasso


30 Euro | reduced 25 Euro

This ticket is only available at the museum ticket desk on-site and entitles the holder to visit the Picasso and Doris Ziegler exhibition as often as desired for the duration of the exhibitions. Holders of a season ticket can secure a time slot for admission to the Picasso exhibition by acquiring a free ticket in our online shop for the desired time of day. Entitlement to the free ticket must be shown at the museum entrance.

Annual Ticket


70 Euro | reduced 50 Euro

This ticket is only available at the museum ticket desk on-site. Holders of an Annual Ticket can reserve a ticket for the permanent or special exhibitions by acquiring a free ticket in our online shop. Entitlement to the free ticket must be shown at the entrance.

Reductions | Free admission


Admission is free for children up to the age of 18.

Reduced admission for: school pupils, apprentices, students, group of more than 10 persons (per person), recipients of Arbeitslosengeld II, severely handicapped people, etc.

Guests entitled to free admission (members of the Friends Association, etc.) or holders of an Annual Ticket can reserve a ticket for the permanent or special exhibitions by acquiring a free ticket in our online shop. Entitlement to the free ticket must be shown at the entrance.

Special reductions

during the Picasso exhibition


Kunsthalle "Talstrasse"
If you have visited the Picasso Lurçat exhibition at the Kunsthalle "Talstrasse", you will receive a reduced admission rate from us on presentation of the Kunsthalle ticket.

Transport discount
Anyone travelling to the museum on public transport (S‑Bahn, train, bus, tram) will receive a discount of 2 Euro on the admission price on presentation of the relevant transportation ticket or an MDV combi ticket.

This discount is only granted when purchasing a ticket directly at the museum ticket desk on-site and entitlement must be shown before purchasing the admission ticket. Subsequent cash payouts are not possible.
