Education & school activities

Looking for educational activities for pre-schoolers? Or do you want to use the museum as a venue for extracurricular learning? We carry out reliable work hand in hand with all kinds of educational institutions. The museum’s art education programme is open to various means of collaborating and cooperating in the field of art and culture. We like to work intensively with students of all ages and school types, or with groups of children, teenagers or students.

What shapes and colours tell us

Why is blue so calm and quiet and red always so cheeky? What might bright yellow feel like? Why are some shapes in art pointy and spiky, and others smooth and round? Why do things in works of art often look totally different to real life?

Talking and wondering about questions like this paves the way for even young children to enter the fantastical world of art. Engaging with the works of art, talking about their colours, shapes and subjects helps children become more perceptive, look at things with greater attention and concentration and express themselves more clearly, while making them more open to art and culture. The practical work carried out afterwards in the museum workshop shows how stimulating a museum visit can be for preschoolers, and its lasting effect. The playful approach makes it easier to get across our educational concept. A variety of topics are available; we would be happy to advise you!

It’s never too early...

Our museum is a place where children can learn outside school, and a reliable partner for a wide range of educational establishments. The museum’s art education programme is open to various means of collaborating and cooperating in the field of art and culture. We like to work intensively with students of all ages and school types, or with groups of children, teenagers or students.

The programmes for specific target groups take into account what children in each age group will already have encountered and experienced at that age, whether they take part in a general tour, a themed tour with interactive elements or themed art appreciation.
